Suffolk Chicken Firm Spreads Its Wings

A Suffolk food business has achieved a new listing with The Co-op in East Anglia.

Increasing its distribution of its hand-reared, free range chickens across East Anglia, Sutton Hoo Chicken, has now secured a greater distribution with The Co-op which will see its Cumberland Sausages, Cumberland Burgers, Chilli & Paprika Sausages, Garlic & Herb Spatchcock, Pesto Spatchcock and Chicken Wings available to local shoppers in both the Woodbridge and Framlingham branches.

“We are delighted to be supplying more Co-Op stores locally and create a larger distribution throughout East Anglia,” says Belinda Nash, founder of Sutton Hoo. “Customers will now be able to enjoy a wider variety of our range.”

Sutton Hoo Chicken began in 1994, with a mission to rear truly free-range chicken in the Suffolk countryside and have been lovingly rearing them ever since, to the highest welfare standards. The traditional breed used is a slower-growing chicken; grown on average for 10 weeks and 25% longer than standard chickens, creating the highest quality, authentic flavour.
