ELEVATOR PITCH – TELL US WHAT YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS DOES IN A NUTSHELL:
We provide great commercial strategic and operational HR support and advice to businesses.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS YOUR BUSINESS’S USP OVER YOUR PEERS?
It’s in our name – Make A Difference-HR.

Our use of technology means that we can keep HR compliance costs low because you’re not having to pay for a consultant’s time until you need the onsite help.

We are all strategic thinkers, with a high level of commercial acumen. This means our clients get a brilliant HR Director on a part-time, long term basis and most importantly at a fraction of the cost of a full-time resource.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST BUSINESS CHALLENGE SO FAR?
Balancing the work needed to get the business going whilst delivering a service to your clients.

AND YOUR GREATEST SUCCESS?
Being shortlisted as a Finalist for Small Business of the Year.

WHAT DOES THE NEXT 12 MONTHS HAVE IN STORE FOR YOU?
• New on line products
• More events
• Partnerships with new businesses

AND IN FIVE YEARS TIME YOU’D LIKE THE BUSINESS TO?
• Be known as the ‘best in class’ for outsourced HR support in East Anglia.
• Have increased our online offering to help even more SME’s.
• Have worked strategically with more ambitious businesses so that the business owners can now enjoy the fruits of the labour.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WANTING TO ENTER YOUR INDUSTRY SPACE?

The best manager I ever had did a wonderful job of coaching me and encouraging me to explore areas of HR until I found out what I did and didn’t like. If I was going to give that advice to others, it would be to continuously explore and experiment within the HR profession to find which specialties and options are most compelling and exciting, and then spend more time trying to do those kinds of things.

Don’t settle for being average at everything – be great at something!

UNFULFILLED AMBITION:
To write a travel book highlighting the features and benefits of each of the islands in the Indian Ocean.

FANTASY DINNER PARTY GUESTS:

WHERE YOU LIVE, WHERE YOU’RE ORIGINALLY FROM (AND WHAT BROUGHT YOU HERE), HOW OLD YOU ARE, WHO YOU LIVE WITH

I’m a bona fide Cockney but growing up we have moved around most of the Home Counties as a result of my parent’s business. My Dad hails from Woodbridge so growing up we were only allowed to support ITFC.

It was my love of ITFC that brought me to Suffolk as I met my now husband at Portman Road.

We live in a small village out the outskirts of Ipswich with our black Labrador Bess and 100 chickens.
