Thousands Flock to Campus Event

Staff and students from The University of Suffolk are celebrating the success of their annual UCAS higher education exhibition.

Some 2,500 students attended the event at the waterfront campus in Ipswich, which showcased the wide range of options available after school or college such as university, college, gap years, internships and volunteering.

The business and voluntary sector was also well represented, with over 100 exhibitors participating.

Robyn Jansen Van Ryssen, Student Recruitment and Outreach Manager at the University of Suffolk, said: “We were delighted to welcome so many enthusiastic young people to our campus.

“The event provides an opportunity to find out about all the options available but of course it provides us the chance to highlight the University of Suffolk and all that we offer.”

Students were given the opportunity through a series of seminars to find out about the university application process, student finance, choosing a course, student life and degree apprenticeships.

It is the 10th year the University has hosted the event. Exhibitions are held across the UK every year as part of the UCAS annual calendar to bring together future students with learning providers and other interesting organisations.

The University of Suffolk will be holding an Open Event on Saturday 7 July 10.30am-2.30pm. Visit for more information.
