Norfolk property consultancy, Bidwells, has strengthened its planning expertise with a senior appointment.

Joining the Norwich office as partner is highly experienced sector professional, Iain Hill.

Having spent more than 17 years working on projects from initial feasibility and acquisition through to disposal, Iain will head up the Planning Team in Upper King Street.

Previous roles have included Head of Planning with Ingleton Wood LLP, Development Manager with Targetfollow Estates Ltd and Associate, Planning and Development with King Sturge LLP.

During this time he has had responsibility for coordinating planning and development services across teams and offices and securing planning permission for a range of high profile development and regeneration projects including North East London NHS Foundation Trust, the University of East Anglia and Broadland Housing at Carrow Quay in Norwich.

“I’m really excited to join the Planning Team at Bidwells and the opportunity this provides,” said Iain.

“I’m looking forward to working with the range of valued clients that Bidwells has, whilst also maintaining and developing the strong working relationship I have built with other clients across the region in recent years.”

A member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, Iain holds a BSc in Planning & The Built Environment and a Diploma in Urban Planning.

Mike Derbyshire, Head of Planning at Bidwells, added: “I am delighted Iain has joined us to lead our long-established team in Norwich.

“His background story from London to Norwich and his market-leading presence locally makes him an ideal fit with Bidwells.”
