Foodie Firm Racing to Fulfil Thousands of Festive Orders

Essex’s award-winning Christmas pudding producer, LillyPuds, is currently preparing around

20,000 puddings to fulfil its orders in the run up to the festive season.

With Stir-Up Sunday taking place next weekend, the artisan firm has revealed the huge level of customer demand it is anticipating.

Having only launched two years ago, the Chelmsford company already regards the likes of Perrywoods, and various co-op stores as its customers, as well as a number of national distributors.

“When I attended the Great Garnetts Farmers Market two years ago with a few puddings for people to try and buy, I never thought for a minute LillyPuds would become as huge as it has,” said Alison Lilly, founder of LillyPuds.

“This year our production has grown to 12,000 puddings to be sold through retail and another 8,000

portions for foodservice.”

In addition to key retail and foodservice clients, LillyPuds has also secured distribution with Cotswold Fayre and Shire Foods.
